In My Mind is a collection of paintings that visualize the concepts of theology or faith that can seem abstract. Images and metaphors are how I understand the complicated parts of my faith. These paintings are a collection of some of these images.

The Already and The Not Yet
The already and the not yet is the theological concept of the kingdom of God being here, coming, and not yet being present. It explains the state of the word after Jesus died but before the second coming.
Vertical Thinking
This piece visualizes the idea of living a life based on God (vertical) and not the world around me (horizontal). When I live my life trying to please the people around me and gain my worth and view of myself from the approval of others I’m trapped with a state of exhaustion and a moving finish line. But with Vertical Thinking I base my value in what God says about me instead. I work from the place of rest he provides. My value is not in how much I can do but in who I already am.
