The Beloved

This piece focuses on how God values people within kingdom theology. With value in mind, I found broken dirty watches, which are typically not viewed as valuable. The watches in their original state represent how people are often looked at by the world around them. However, in the perspective of God they each have intrinsic value. So, I took each watch apart to reassemble it using found objects into figures. Finally I hung each character together representing God’s love and value of each person no matter how much they work, how well they function, or how clean they are.
